Senior Kiara Gilbert has been named one of 46 awardees of the Marshall Scholarship for 2021. The Marshall Scholarship provides opportunity for young Americans to study at a graduate level at a United Kingdom institution.
Gilbert, of Charlotte, North Carolina, is a concentrator in African American Studies and is also pursuing a certificate in Humanistic Studies. He graduate study will be an MPhil in criticism and culture at the University of Cambridge and an MPhil in political thought and intellectual theory at SOAS University of London.
