Stefan Eich researches the politics of the economy in the history of modern political thought, along with the links between that history and contemporary political theory. His current book project, The Currency of Justice: Money and Political Thought, traces the roots of money as a political institution, with applications to contemporary global problems. In other work, he is reconstructing John Maynard Keynes’s political thought, as well as surveying eighteenth- through nineteenth-century discussions of political economy and theodicy.
