I am a Near Eastern Studies major with certificates in Humanistic Studies and Judaic Studies.
Role(s) held in the Humanistic Studies Program:
Humanities Mentor and Symposiarch, Behrman Society
Activities you participate in on campus:
On campus, I’m the President of the Conservative Jewish religious group at the CJL, and I help with the CONTACT helpline through the Pace Center.
Other experiences which you can advise people on:
I’m a Peer Academic Advisor with Butler College, so I’m more than happy to answer questions you might have about course selection, academic planning, and finding which majors work best for you.
What have you gained from studying the Humanities?
The most beautiful thing I’ve gained from studying the Humanities is that I see the small way in which I fit within the larger story of learning and discovery. I can truly appreciate how stories and art speak to one another across time and space to share powerful messages about our place in the world.
