Cecilia Quirk

Operations Research & Financial Engineering, Class of 2024

I am an Operations Research & Financial Engineering concentrator pursuing certificates in Humanistic Studies.

Roles held in Humanistic Studies:

Humanistic Studies Certificate Student, Humanities Mentor

Activities I participate in on campus:

On campus I’m involved in Engineers Without Borders on the Peru Team and the Executive Board, Society of Women Engineers, and Club Tennis! I also spent summer 2021 interning with the Datta Lab in Princeton’s CBE Department and will be working in the lab this fall!

Other experiences which I can advise people on:

I’d be happy to answer any questions about getting involved in research on campus or balancing interests in the humanities and engineering.

What I have gained from studying the Humanities:

Studying the Humanities at Princeton, particularly through the Humanities Sequence, has been an incredible opportunity to explore so many fascinating texts, authors, and eras. It’s taught me how to ask meaningful questions about these works and our world and has empowered me with the curiosity, creativity, and analytical thinking skills to consider the answers.
