Why I decided to study the humanities:
I decided to study the humanities to better my ability to understand the minds of those around me.
What I have gained from the humanities:
Studying the humanities has given me tools with which to better process the world.
Independent work:
I am not totally set on my Junior independent work topic, but it may be about independent art (specifically a community of rappers I know and a playwright) in the increasingly unfree space of Beijing, and how these counter cultural groups relate to the space around them in a society that is increasingly emphasizing “harmony.”
