I am a member of the class of 2018 hailing from Poughkeepsie, New York. On-campus, I am an elected student representative in USG, a slam poet with Songline Slam Poetry, an Orange Key Tour Guide, and a contributor to several publications. I also run long distance and paint in my free time.
I’ve loved the arts and humanities from a young age – I even have a Virgilian princess as my namesake. At Princeton, even as a Politics major, I have an embarrassing proportion of “LA” credits compared to everything else on my transcript. A storyteller and an artist, I am particularly interested in how the fine arts and language intersect with each other, and how they can convey information together. I am also interested in policy as social narrative, power structures, and the histories of racial and other minorities in the United States.
Besides the Humanities Sequence (HUM216-219), my favorite classes at Princeton have probably been my fiction, poetry, and screenwriting workshops in the Program in Creative Writing.
