Why I decided to study the humanities:
I am curious about the meaning of our existence beyond survival.
What I have gained from the humanities:
I have gained community, meaning, and energy. I see the world differently for having learned more about its inner workings and evolution.
HUM Sequence fall break trip:
I attended a fall break trip in Greece studying the metopes of the Parthenon and their relationship to the EU and Greek political and social identity. I emerged from the trip a more intellectual, connected, passionate person. My friendships were deepened alongside my understanding of Greece, literature, art, and the value of culture more broadly.
