Daniel J. Sheffield is Assistant Professor in the Department of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University, where he specializes in the religious, intellectual, and social history of the medieval and early modern Persian-speaking world.

Sheffield is co-teaching HUM 247, Near Eastern Humanities I: From Antiquity to Islam in the Fall of 2022 with Johannes Haubold and co-taught HUM 247, Near Eastern Humanities I: From Antiquity to Islam in the Fall of 2021 with Johannes Haubold.
